Our beautiful mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, friend et. al., has passed on. Family and friends gathered to honour her life on Saturday, 17th July 2021. We laughed, we cried, and we shared our memories of her, with one another. It was a truly special occasion, and was the perfect way to celebrate SJvZ’s life, as opposed to strictly mourning her passing.
One thing that is firmly remembered by all, was her profound love and appreciation of Nature, Philosophy, and of Mathematics, specifically Sacred Geometry. These are topics that would be discussed, at length with her, on many occasions. Conversations on The Golden Ratio, Phi and the Fibonacci Sequence, would frequently come about, as it appealed to both of our senses of aesthetics, and the Arts (including music), spirituality and Mathematics, all rolled into one. Quick shout out to my uni Mathematics professor: SMcA, who finally allowed me to ‘get’ Mathematics, and discover its true beauty and joy!
